About us
Altydgedacht is one of the historic farms established on the fertile slopes of the Tygerberg. It is situated only 15 km away from the Altlantic ocean and falls into one of the coolest wine-growing regions of South Africa. The prevailing winds blow from the sea ensuring a moderate climate, while the late summer mists contribute a cooling effect. Pampoenkraal is snuggly tucked away underneath the ancient oak trees of the Altydgedacht Wine Estate in the wine valley of Durbanville. It is a truly outdoor African experience, with an open air lapa for dining, and all cooking done on open fires, creating a truly rustic African atmosphere. Pampoenkraal specializes in weddings and private functions.
