The RiverCenter is located in the heart of the historic district of downtown Davenport and just two blocks away from the banks of America’s greatest river, the only place where the mighty Mississippi River runs East to West! We are a unique convention center connected to the historic art-deco Adler theatre which plays host to world-class entertainment including Broadway Shows, Comedians, Musical Concerts, Talent Competitions, Ballet, Symphonies and much more. Additionally we are conveniently attached to two full service hotels; Hotel Blackhawk and DoubleTree by Hilton. The RiverCenter boasts the largest amount of event space in the Quad Cities with 2 buildings of meeting, banquet and exhibit space. We can accommodate any special event and equipment needs you may have. The RiverCenter's in-house catering service is known for its exquisite food and stunning presentations, our exclusive Chef and culinary team will work with you to create the perfect menu and provide that special touch that will exceed your expectations. The Gold Coast & Hamburg Historic District received a “Great Places in America” award for Excellence In Planning - Neighborhoods from the American Planning Association (APA) on Oct. 4, 2011. These national awards include categories of streets, neighborhoods and public spaces, and The Gold Coast/Hamburg District is the first in Iowa to receive the neighborhood award! One of Iowa’s largest historic districts it received national designation as an historic district in 1984. Known as Davenport's first neighborhood it was home to many of Davenport’s early German settlers beginning in the mid-19th century. The Village of East Davenport, also known simply as The Village is located along the Mississippi River on the southeast side of Davenport. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as the Davenport Village. It is roughly defined as the area between the Mississippi River, Spring, Judson, and 13th Streets, Kirkwood Boulevard and Jersey Ridge Road.
