The purpose built Club House and 18 hole parkland course is set against the impressive backdrop of Dromoland Castle. In existence since 1961, our course was designed by the renowned golf architect Mr. Brook L. Wigginton of the USA. In 2003 the par 72 Dromoland Castle Golf & Country Club championship parkland course was carefully redesigned and updated by world class architect Ron Kirby and Irish golfing legend J.B.Carr. The course plays 6,824 yards for men and 5,242 yards for ladies. It is a captivating test of golf surrounded by the wonders of the Irish Countryside. It has been described as an experience never to be forgotten, presenting the pure challenge of golf to both professional and amateur alike. The 18 enchanting holes sweep through 450 acres of shady woodland, open rolling pasture, feral lakes, streams and the magnificence of the 16th Century baronial Dromoland Castle presiding over the estate. Yet for all the regal splendour and unassuming nature, it is a course for the 21st Century.

Welcome to King John’s Castle, on ‘King’s Island’ in the heart of medieval Limerick City. The stunning new exhibition at King John’s Castle brings to life over 800 years of dramatic local history. This 13th century Castle reopened on Friday June 28th 2013, following a multi million euro investment. Explore the brand new visitor centre with state of the art interpretive activities and exhibitions. Relax afterwards in our café – the perfect place to unwind while enjoying terrifc views onto the castle courtyard and the Shannon river. 21st century touch screen technology, 3 D models and discovery drawer are among the exciting techniques that will connect you to tales of siege and warfare. Children will love the dazzling array of computer generated animations and ghostly projections as they travel back through time. The Education and Activity Room is bustling with tasks to stimulate curious minds.

As the capital of Co. Clare, a picturesque and historic market town taking it’s name from “Inis” which is the Irish name for island. The town dates back to the 11th Century and was formed between two streams on the river Fergus when the O’Briens, Kings of Thomond, invited the Franciscans to establish a settlement within their domain in 1240.

Thomond Park is the home ground of Munster Rugby, one of the most successful and best supported rugby clubs in the world. The famous venue, renowned internationally for its unique history and atmosphere, has been redeveloped and now boasts an increased capacity of 25,600 plus an extensive range of conference & banqueting facilities that have further enhanced its glowing reputation. Since that magical reopening night when Munster played the All Blacks in 2008 witnessed by a national television audience of over one million viewers, Thomond Park has hosted a galaxy of events that has truly established the stadium as a world class multi – purpose venue. From international rugby with Ireland v The Barbarians, the historic staging of two international football matches with the Republic of Ireland, hosting The Special Olympics Opening Ceremony, to concerts with performances by P!NK, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Bob Dylan, the stadium has delivered on its promise to attract the very best in terms of sporting and entertainment experiences. The increased capacity has also allowed record levels of supporters to attend Munster Rugby matches, and in November 2010, Thomond Park witnessed another historic and memorable occasion when Munster played and triumphed over the touring international Australian team adding yet another heroic landmark to the legendary reputation of the venue.
