Alba

Shopping
20 km away
It is also called the city of a hundred towers, which were the symbol of the power of the local lords and real defensive strongholds. Today just few of them remain: the best preserved are those between Piazza Risorgimento and Via Cavour. The two main squares, Michele Ferrero (formerly Savona) and Risorgimento (known as the Duomo) are connected by the Via "maestra" (=main) Vittorio Emanuele, a pedestrian area where you can stroll among the best shops in town.

Castle of Barolo

Historical landmark
17 km away
It houses the most innovative wine museum in Italy and one of the most important in the world. It opened in September 2010 in the Barolo castle: it offers an emotional journey into the world of wine through a path of multimedia, interactive and surprising settings. It is also ideal for children: stimulating, poetic and magical. The cellars of the castle that house the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo, with free and independent entrance, are an integral part of the WiMu path.

Castle of Grinzane Cavour

Historical landmark
12 km away
The Castle houses an Ethnographic Museum that includes rare objects of the local food and wine (also related to truffles), of the peasans of the Langhe, of the ancient cuisine and some relics of Cavour. It also houses the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour: a prestigious showcase of the best Piedmontese wines and grappa, first and foremost Barolo and Barbaresco. The wines are for sale, paired with the most significant typical products of the area.
