More
A Cardiff icon for more than 160 years, Cornerstone, Cardiff's newest convention, cultural, and community hub, opened its doors to the Welsh metropolis in September 2016. The stunning Grade II listed structure was initially built in 1855 as Ebenezer Chapel, Cardiff's first Neo-Gothic church. It has a strikingly colourful facade and a wonderful open-span interior. Cornerstone, which was renovated in 2015–2016 with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, serves as a centre for business, the arts, weddings, parties, and other events like concerts, exhibitions, corporate meetings, and VIP dining. The centre of the community has a cafe, gathering areas for neighbourhood events, and rooms for every occasion. In December 2016, HRH the Prince of Wales gave it an official opening, and Cardiff residents have been using it ever since. Cornerstone received the Wales Building Conservation Award from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 2017. Cornerstone is a fully adaptable hub for the neighbourhood, offering the ideal location for conferences, seminars, meetings, corporate hospitality, private parties and banquets, or just a plain and simple cup of coffee. For your next occasion, Cornerstone offers a meeting room, a private dining room, a mezzanine floor, and the truly magnificent Great Hall.
