The coaches are original and completed their service with the Rhodesian Railways in 1950 and are now fully revamped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. African Train Lodge is situated in Cape Town’s city centre with great views of Table Mountain. The Train Lodge is in close proximity to major transport nodes of Cape Town station, including the My Citi bus terminal and national touring bus terminal. Accommodation is provided in 2-and 4-berth compartments where you can opt for a choice of single or single and double bed cabins. The Train Lodge is a stunning venue that can be used to host big events, product launches, company lunches; birthday parties or private functions. Any part of the venue is available for hiring — the cigar lounge, the outside braai area with a separate bar, dining coach or the entire facility. We can arrange a menu that satisfies your needs or suggest one for you. This can be anything from a sit down three course meal to a buffet or even snack platters.
