Local Attractions

Cenotes

Recreation
2 hours away
Cenotes are essentially large sinkholes or caves, usually found in sedimentary limestone rock, that have filled with cool, clear groundwater and rainwater over time. Typically created when a cave collapses on itself, Cenotes can be open-air cenotes (the roof has completely collapsed) or a cave cenote (most or all of the roof remains). Many cenotes are home to various fish, plant life and even turtles!

Isla Mujeres

Recreation
1 hour away
Isla Mujeres is a slice of paradise a short distance off the coast of Cancun. It offers tropical isolation away from the busy town and resorts, with incredible views of the surrounding Caribbean. There are lots of activities to enjoy on Isla Mujeres including shopping, snorkeling, and sunbathing on its pristine sandy beaches. This beautiful island off Cancun also contains an abundance of culture and history worth exploring during your visit.

Historical landmark
210 km away
Chichen Itza is an archaeological site in the Yucatan state in Mexico built by the Maya and is one of the most popular attractions there with over 2.6 million tourists in 2017 alone.
