Opened in 1884 in one of Europe's most beautiful Neo-Renaissance buildings. Today the Budapest Opera House is considered to be amongst the best opera houses in the world in terms of its acoustics, and has an auditorium that seats 1200 people. It is within a 10 minutes walk from the hotel and can be toured during the day to learn about its gorgeous architecture and visit in the evening to enjoy a world-class performance. Guided tours are offered daily. The Opera House is currently closed for renovations for the 2017/2018 season. During this time period opera tickets available at the Erkel Theater.
