Pullman Brussels Centre Midi

A large market, based in front of the Pullman Brussels Centre Midi, that operates on Sundays from 6am to 1pm. It is a huge market filled with delicacies from around the European region. Here you will find fresh vegetables, olives, roasts, and fresh cheeses. The experience itself is worth going for if not for the bargain basement prices on the knick-knacks. The crowds of people walk slowly, browsing the vegetables and fruits, getting free samples and pulling their shop trolleys behind them. Gare du Midi, Sundays 6 am-1 pm

Opened in June, 2009, the Magritte Museum displays works of the surrealist artist for which it is named. Located in the heart of Brussels at the Place Royale, the museum is housed in the neo-classical landmark Altenloh, superbly restored in 1984 with the generous support of the Franco-Belgian group GDF SUEZ and the Magritte Foundation, and operates as part of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. Instantly popular, the museum welcomed over 500,000 visitors in its first year of operation.

The Marolles is an old district of Brussels, situated between the Law Courts of Brussels (Palace of Justice) and the Brussels-South railway station. In the heart of Marollen can be found the Église de la Chapelle/Kapellekerk and the Place du Jeu de balle/Vossenplein. In the building of Belgium's Royal Museums of Fine Arts, visitors can explore the 2,500 m2 of the Magritte Museum. This museum stands right in the centre of Brussels, on Place Royale, and exhibits for public viewing the surrealist artist's creations belonging to Belgium's Royal Museums of Fine Arts and originating mainly from purchases and from the Irène Hamoir-Scutenaire and Georgette Magritte bequests. This multidisciplinary collection is the richest in the world. It comprises more than 200 works consisting of oils on canvas, gouaches, drawings, sculptures and painted objects as well as advertising posters, music scores, vintage photographs and films directed by Magritte himself.

The Grand Place or Grote Markt is the central square of Brussels.
