Crowne Plaza Brussels Airport

Built for the 1958 World Exhibition, the Atomium is shaped on the model of an elementary iron crystal enlarged 165 billion times. Beyond surreal walks through tubes and spheres, the Atomium houses a permanent exhibition about its history as well temporary exhibitions for a broad public (sciences, design, society). The upper sphere offers unique and spectacular views across the city skyline. At night, 2970 lights offer a fairy dimension to the 102m high building. The panoramic restaurant is daily open until 11pm.

Erected in 1928 by the architect and master of Art Nouveau, Victor Horta, it is a centre of cultural and artistic life. A full renovation of the interior restored the original appearance of the building, as originally designed by the master, Horta. Visits are organised ("From Horta to Horta") to allow people to rediscover parts of the building previously off limits to the general public

The City Hall of Brussels is a masterpiece of the Gothic civil architecture of the 15th century. The wealth inside also makes it one of the most luxurious city halls of the country. It possesses an important artistic and historic heritage (paintings, sculptures, tapestries). Inside the City Hall various styles and time periods mix. The reconstruction by the States of Brabant left us a row of luxurious rooms in the style of Louis XIV at the beginning of the 18th century. Some are used for the meetings of the College and the City Council today.

The building in neoclassical style was built in 1826. The former Botanical Garden was transformed into a cultural centre in 1984. Due to its architecture and layout, it is almost unique, with its splendid tropical greenhouse having been turned into a central corridor with a rich variety of plants.

In the building of Belgium's Royal Museums of Fine Arts, visitors can explore the 2,500 m2 of the Magritte Museum. This museum stands right in the centre of Brussels, on Place Royale, and exhibits for public viewing the surrealist artist's creations belonging to Belgium's Royal Museums of Fine Arts and originating mainly from purchases and from the Irène Hamoir-Scutenaire and Georgette Magritte bequests. This multidisciplinary collection is the richest in the world. It comprises more than 200 works consisting of oils on canvas, gouaches, drawings, sculptures and painted objects as well as advertising posters, music scores, vintage photographs and films directed by Magritte himself.

Avoid traffic jams and stress on your way to the airport. The train takes you directly to Brussels Airport. Brussels Airport Zaventem station is located close to the departure and arrival halls. Direct connections from more than 80 stations, from Hasselt to De Panne, the train is a good way to visit Belgium in the shortest period.
