Il Ciocco Tenuta e Parco is a private estate that stretches over 600 hectares and rises up to 1,100 meters above sea level at the centre of the Serchio Valley, a fascinating and mysterious corner of Tuscany nestled between the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. It is located on the border of Garfagnana, a green area of the region, a few minutes away from the charming medieval village of Barga and 40 kms away from Lucca, world-renowned art city. It is also strategically positioned to reach all the other main tourist destinations of Tuscany and Liguria. Immersed in a green and lush countryside, Il Ciocco embraces a numerous range of natural landscapes offering the visitor a unique ever transforming chromatic display, never equal to itself, that changes with the altitude and at every season. In these places that hold ancient memories, where nature, art, legend and tradition blend wonderfully together, one can wander among thick forests full of chestnut and beech trees and into villages and hamlets where it seems as if time has stood still. Our hotel complex is open all year round. Three distinct facilities each with its own personality and centralized services (reception, restaurant, sports facilities).A total of 58 rooms and 12 chalets open all year round, reserved parking, and with privileged views of the surrounding valley, the picturesque villages and the jagged profile of the Apuan Alps. In the natural setting of the Living Mountain, the Restaurant & Bar Locanda Alla Posta, with its completely renewed look, offers skillfully reinterpreted traditional Tuscan dishes for guests to enjoy.The Locanda is the ideal location for ceremonies, private and corporate events with a seating capacity for 100 guests.Glamourous, refined and exclusive, the Taverna dello Scoiattolo is a dream lodge surrounded by the inspiring landscape of the highest point of this Living Mountain. Easily accessible by car, it is located in a privileged, isolated area in respect to the other facilities. The warmth of the fireplace on brisk winter days and a shaded veranda, surrounded by the chestnut trees, on a sunny summer afternoon make the Taverna the perfect location, any time of year, for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events accommodating up to 120 seated guests. Il Ciocco Studios is the ideal location for meetings, conferences, conventions and events. The structure is very similar to that of a theatre with extra wide seats and a maximum capacity of 70. Fully equipped with audiovisual and lighting systems. All our sports and team building facilities are immersed in green vegetation, between 600 and 700 meters above sea level, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. They are open all year round. Regulatory football pitch (106 x 65 meters) with natural grass, for decades it has hosted football retreats . The largest covered Pump Track arena in Italy, ideal for training and having fun on Strider and BMX bikes.. Multipupose fields for open air activities. MTB Cross-Country, Downhill and Endurance trails and mtb bike services. Gym with parquet flooring for basketball, volleyball and five-a-side football. Il Ciocco Experience is a tour program for every season of the year. A three hour guided activity every day of the year suitable to all: from trekking in nature to the discovery of “wild herbs”, from local traditions to culinary workshops, from photographic safaris to e-bike tours and historical/cultural visits.
Cancellation Policy
standard policy for group events is 50% payment if cancellation is received up to one week before arrival date and 100% if cancellation is received in the 6 days prior to the event date.
