About us

SO/ Bangkok approaches meetings and events with a totally unique perspective. Adding a touch of social and a spark of creativity, we create spaces and solutions that will inspire your delegates and enrich your events. Social Club has been created as an atelier for thinking and creativity. In a loft-style setting on the 7th floor, four meeting rooms have been created as places to bring people together, to generate ideas and concepts, to debate and have fun. Outside, a pre-function area offers the ideal setting to relax and unwind between sessions, equipped with a kitchen, where innovative coffee breaks can be arranged, themed around The Five Elements. Our inspired meetings, with the help of our event planner, cater to all of your event needs. For memorable banquets and weddings, The Ballroom is a large pillar-less space catering to your entertainment and social needs. A modern interpretation of a Parisian opera house, touches of old-school glamour are offset by contemporary styling and high-tech features. With walls of glass offering panoramas of the city below and the sense of open space, THE BOX is designed to see and be seen in. A place for inspiring thinking and bespoke events, it offers an exclusive venue to impress VIP guests or host exclusive gatherings.

The great thing about shopping in Bangkok is the diversity; malls and department stores stay open until at least 21:00 - and some even as late as 22:00, but there's also an ever-increasing number of night markets too, offering great after dark shopping opportunities - and incredible bargains in the moonlight. One of the most visited after dark markets in Bangkok is undoubtedly the Patpong Night Market, proving popular for its central location and alternative entertainment for those not interested in the fashion

M.R. Kukrit’s home on a two-acre piece of land is a good manifestation of the owner’s background and complex personality. As it stands now, the living quarters compose of 5 separate small one-room teak houses on elevated poles, connected by open veranda, with open ground floor in the usual Thai style houses. There is also a large hall for public functions a little distance away from the living quarters with a walled-in garden to connect the two parts and create the impression of one whole house.

Bangkok's vibrant Chinatown district runs along Yaowarat Road from Odeon Circle, where a huge ceremonial Chinese gate unmistakably marks the entrance, up to the Ong Ang Canal, which marks the outer boundaries of the royal district. Yaowarat Road itself is lined with many gold shops, and Chinatown is indeed one of the better places to shop for gold. However, just off the road in either direction is a whole other world where, it is said, you can find just about anything.
