Marco Polo Xiamen

Xiamen Bay Park is located on the west side of Hubin West Road, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, between Xiamen West Sea and Yundang Lake. With a total area of 20,100 square meters and flat terrain, the park can overlook the sea in the west, Yundang Lake and Bailuzhou Park in the east, Haicang Bridge in the northwest and the beautiful Gulangyu Island in the sight. In landscape design, the park is divided into seven scenic spots: heaven Garden, earth garden, forest garden, grass garden, water garden, coastal scenery and Avenue of Stars, and divided into North garden and South garden by Avenue of Stars.

Gulangyu: Known as “Piano Island”, this islet houses the only Piano Museum in China dedicated to everything related to this musical instrument. It is a car-free sanctuary full of natural scenery, beaches, ancient relics and diverse colonial architecture. Nanputuo Temple: Composed of 4 magnificent solemn buildings on a mountain slope, the Temple has a precious collection of Buddhist relics ranging from statues to calligraphy. The lush Wulao Peaks behind the Temple provide an amazing view of the city and the sea. Xiamen University: Known as China’s most beautiful university, situated at the foot of a picturesque mountain facing the sea, has more than 40,000 students and 2600 staff in 27 schools including 14 research institutes. Wanshi Botanic Garden: Located within Wanshi Mountain and dotted with odd-shaped rocks and ancient stone inscriptions, the garden houses over 7,000 varieties of plants in 10+ thematic zones including Palm Island and Rainforest World. Riyuegu Hotspring Resort: It is Xiamen’s first hot spring park with an area 260,000 m2, boasting to relaxation, tranquility and beauty. A popular attraction for both local residents and tourists.

Built in traditional Chinese architectural style, the Museum, with a collection of over 7000 exhibits in 3 permanent thematic sections, is China’s first museum exhibiting the history of overseas Chinese.
