The Tucson Convention Center is a multi-purpose complex on a 27-acre campus in the heart of downtown Tucson. The facility hosts a wide range of events including banquets, public shows, concerts, conventions, family shows and other entertainment, meetings, sporting events, trade shows, and performing arts. The Tucson Convention Center facility has 233,000 square feet of space which include flat exhibit space, carpeted meeting and banquet space and three performance venues, Tucson Arena, The Linda Ronstadt Music Hall and Leo Rich Theater. Cancellation Policy
In the event client cancels a TCC contract prior to or during its event, except for reasons set forth in in TCC contract, client must pay TCC a sum equal to contract fee plus all accrued ancillary service charges, agreeing that the same is a fair approximation of the advertising, clean-up, and legal charges to be incurred by client in consequence of such cancellation. All non- refundable deposits paid shall be applied thereto. The TCC hereby agrees that the client may re-book /reschedule the canceled meeting/event within one year of the original event date. The TCC will apply any pre-payments to the future event. If that newly assigned date is also canceled, the full license fee is due at the time of the cancellation.
Facility Restrictions
Food and Beverage, Security, Ticketing, Housekeeping, Exhibit Power and Water, Internet and Parking are exclusive. Client may bring in a preferred decorator and or an AV company.
Additional Information
Rio Nuevo is a Tax Increment Finance District (TIF) funded by a share of state sales tax dollars and held accountable to the Arizona State Legislature of use of the funds. In 1999 Voters approved the creation of the District that allows TIF funds to be reinvested into the community to create a dynamic city center. These state funds – currently set by Arizona legislature to be collected through 2035 are managed and invested by the Rio Nuevo Board of Directors, appointment by the Arizona Governor, state Senate president and speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives. January 2016, renovations at the Tucson Arena included new locker rooms, sound and video system, renovated bathrooms, lighting and interior wall upgrades, new press box, concession stands and seat upgrades. November 2018, Rio Nuevo Board approved an additional $2.2M replacement to the Tucson Arena’s ice plant and floor. March 2019, Rio Nuevo Board voted to proceed with a 325-spot parking garage on the East side of the Tucson Arena. August 2019, Rio Nuevo Board approved a $65 million renovation plan for the Tucson Convention Center. The package include improvements and upgrades in the Meeting Rooms, Ballrooms, Exhibit Halls and restroom facilitates.
