The Iowa Events Center is located in Des Moines, has 304,000 square feet plus the Arena of connected space and is designed for convenience and versatility. Our venues offer general session seating for 10 – 18,000, with 40 meeting rooms, 150,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, Iowa's largest ballroom and a junior ballroom. Each space available can be designed to meet your expectations for your conference. Enjoy premium catering by our in-house food and beverage, the exclusive caterer at the Iowa Events Center. The Iowa Events Center is committed to being environmentally responsible and conserving precious resources. Some of the ways we do so are as follows: food rescue program, composting, locally-sourced products where possible, use of compostable single-serve items (silverware, plates, cups, etc.) in place of single-use plastic, recycling, efficient and extra-long-life lighting, motion sensor lighting in restrooms and stairwells, green cleaning solutions, paper towels made of recycled paper, use of recycled and sustainably sourced office paper, bike racks for green transportation, and working with a variety of entities to continue monitoring and maximizing energy efficiencies.
