About us

Das Templehall Hotel, Morebattle, ein familiengeführtes Dorfgasthaus, liegt wunderschön in der ruhigen Landschaft der Scottish Borders. Unsere vier gut ausgestatteten Zimmer verfügen über einen hohen Standard an Komfort und Sauberkeit, um unseren Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und einen erholsamen Schlaf zu bieten. Wir haben kürzlich die alte Molkerei neben dem Hauptgebäude renoviert, um zwei Cottages für Selbstversorger anzubieten, die neu eingerichtet und eingerichtet wurden. Unsere gemütliche öffentliche Bar — Morebattle's village „local“ — serviert Fassbier, erlesene Weine und eine gute Auswahl an Flaschenbier. Unser Speisesaal kann auch als Veranstaltungsort für Veranstaltungen gemietet werden und bietet Platz für ca. 80 Personen. Wir veranstalten regelmäßig eine Vielzahl von Veranstaltungen, darunter Partys, Tanzabende, Tauf- und Trauerfeiern, Seminare, Clubtreffen und Live-Musik.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!

Our company was founded in 2008 by Alana Hoye Barnaba. Originally from upstate New York, Alana moved to New York City and immediately began her love affair with its food, history, and culture. For years before creating her company, Alana tried every type of food the city had to offer and began specializing in the tastes of ethnic neighborhoods. Some of her first experiences with the city’s culinary adventures were fresh dumplings and homemade mozzarella — foods included on the signature tour today. Soon after, Alana started Ahoy New York Tours & Tasting and has been sharing her love for the passion, culture, and history of the city through food tours of New York neighborhoods. Ahoy New York Tours and Tasting’s goal with each tour is for customers to leave not only with the knowledge of the area and full of delicious food but also an experience to tell friends and family about long after the tour is complete
