About us
The Retreat and Conference House is set in the stunning grounds and ruins of a 14th Century Cistercian Abbey. It is located on the banks of the River Calder in the beautiful countryside of the Ribble Valley, but with easy access to motorway and rail networks. Whalley Abbey is a unique and beautiful location at any time of the year and is the ideal venue for your wedding reception. We offer both individual and all-inclusive wedding packages, exclusive use of the Conference House is available and the grounds are perfect for your photos. Flexible meeting spaces are available in the Conference House. These can be adapted to individual requirements for a variety of events. We are proud to be able to offer 4 residential bed and breakfast accommodation in the Conference House and 17 en-suite bedrooms accommodating 28 guests in twin, double and single rooms. Family rooms are available.
