The Hungarian National Museum collects, preserves and presents the historical relics of the Carpathian Basin and Hungary since 1802. The majestic building was built by Mihály Pollack, the same architect who built the original building of Párisi Udvar as well. Various artists have performed in its garden, including Ferenc Liszt. Today the garden is the venue of the Museum Festival. Scenes from the movie Evita, starring Madonna were filmed on the steps leading in. It is easily accessible from our hotel with 10 minutes of walking, by tram or by subway.

Gellért Hill and the Citadella
