The AFW2 Mid-Year Report for FY2022 covering activities from May-October 2021 was published. Workplan execution continued as planned with 22 missions completed in the third quarter of FY2022. AFW2 members benefited from knowledge-sharing and hands-on training in 3 regional webinars on foreign exchange and money markets, public accounting standards and climate-related risks. AFW2 welcomed New Admin/IT Officer, Charles Putier Kunfaa. It originated from the IMF’s response to African leaders’ call on the international community to increase technical assistance (TA) to Africa and focus it more sharply on capacity building in core macroeconomic and financial management areas.
