MPI Middle PA June Member Minutes

Turning the Page on 2020-21:

“Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your MPI Middle PA President.  

What a year it has been!  While I don't want to dismiss the devastating effects Covid has had on families,  careers and businesses, I want to focus on the positive things WE accomplished this year. Our retention rate is a remarkable  80% and the national average for MPI chapters is 65%   Thank you for your commitment to MPI.   We stayed together!    

MPIMP is financially stable.   Thank you for donating and bidding on silent auction items and thank you to all our sponsors who were able to support us.  Special Events held two successful fundraising events this year raising over $15,000 for our chapter.  The Education and Communication Committees kept our members engaged.  We were able to offer free virtual educational sessions throughout the year.   We came together!

I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to the Board of Directors and Chapter Administrator, Cindy Conaway.   We all worked together pulling everyone's experiences and leadership and you had my back.  Being your MPIMP President was  an honor, and I am so thankful that I had all of you with me.  In a few days, I will hand the baton to Peter and support him.   If you aren't currently involved in a committee, please join one.  It is a great experience!” - Cyndy Cosner, 2020-21 MPI MP President

Award of Outstanding Excellence:

Our Chapter was presented with the 2019-20 Overall Excellence Award! An award given to only three chapters in MPI. Belinda Cottrell, CMP, CHS, of MPI Global attended our Year-End Celebration to present the award to our 2019-20 President, Terry Cochran.

Terry Cochran - Immediate Past President - What did you enjoy most about being a board member? “Having served in the Office of the President for the last three years, I knew our board was hardworking and extremely dedicated but it was never more evident than during the pandemic. It was my honor to work with our amazing board members as we worked together to navigate through the challenges of the last 15 months to provide great opportunities for education, networking and personal growth for our members!”

Mike Slivka - Mike served on the MPI MP Board of Directors in various positions, including the Director and VP of Education, prior to his most recent position as the 2020-21 VP of Finance.
