Upcoming Events: May 13 - World FM Day June 10 -Mike Bradley Memorial IFMA Foundation Golf Tournament July 8 -Monthly Meeting		PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE First and foremost, I hope everyone and their families are staying safe and healthy. As we continue to adapt to life’s daily changes, I want to personally thank all our Associate Members for continued support and services provided. The votes are in, and I am excited to announce our 2020-2021 GTC of IFMA Board that will take office this July. Congratulations to the incoming President - Angel Bond, Arcadia Management Group; Vice President – Travis Dodson, American Board of Pediatrics; Secretary – Ethan Tecklenberg, Jones Lang LaSalle; Treasurer – Kellie Renzi, McDonald York Building Company; and Immediate Past President - Justin Barber, Highwoods Properties. In the weeks to come prior to July, the current and incoming Board and Committee Chairs will be meeting for our annual Planning Retreat. Our Chapter uses the retreat to set goals for the coming year, plan future events, and establish budgets. A few reminders as the following events have been rescheduled or postponed due to COVID-19: 2020 Mike Bradley Memorial IFMA Foundation Golf Tournament - Scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2020 has been rescheduled NEW DATE: Wednesday, June 10, 2020 (this will also be our Monthly Meeting) TIME: 11:00AM Registration with 1:00PM Shotgun Start LOCATION: Lochmere Golf Club, 2511 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC Professional Only Event & Annual Sponsor Social- Scheduled for May 5^th will be POSTPONED WHEN: NEW DATE TO BE DETERMINED with more details to follow….. OTHER NEWS: Past Meeting Review (read more) FM Corner Four Ways To Protect Your Workplace During a Global Health Emergency (read more )		GTC OF IFMA COMMUNITY OUTREACH DONATION TO BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF WAKE COUNTY Although the Chapter was unable to have our March Madness 2020 event, the Community Outreach Committee is pleased to announce we were still able to donate $1240.00 to the Boys & Girls Club due to member and non-member contributions along with a sponsorship from RestorePro Reconstruction. Thank you to RestorePro and our members for allowing us to make this donation when the Boys & Girls Club is currently in much need. See the below Thank You to the GTC of IFMA from Marymac Webb with the Boys & Girls Club! "We received the check today and what a nice surprise. Hope all Triangle IFMA folks are doing OK. This check is super and will help tremendously. We do have our Clubs closed but still running a food pantry and supplies on Fridays, feeding several apartment complexes and trying virtual tutoring!! If you get a chance, be sure and check out our website, and maybe take a field trip on Field Trip Friday! We have something each day during the work week for the kids, and then give them a challenge and send back their videos! It's been fun and think the Members are enjoying it. 		2020 WORLD FM DAY IFMA National is asking our Chapter to help celebrate 2020 World FM Day on May 13, 2020- virtually! These are challenging times, and while social distancing is in effect, we would encourage you to use virtual visual conferencing and capture photos of your screens to share. They would also love to receive photos or videos of you and your colleagues as you continue to serve as Essential Employees. It is so important for us to share with the world the important work FMs do every day and in these days of global crisis. Our Chapter can help us continue to elevate the profession worldwide by sharing images that best reflect the FM profession. This year’s theme is Celebrating the Environment, in recognition of the 50^th anniversary of Earth Day, IFMA would appreciate seeing how FMs support the environment both at work and away from work. You can share photos by simply attaching them to an email with the subject and individuals included and sending to IFMA’s social media and communications specialist Katherine Sproles. Also to make it easy for you to submit videos that IFMA can share to celebrate and promote the FM industry online and in social media, they have provided a link to use a new, user-friendly video platform.
