March 2022 |
Hello Fellow Industry Professionals!
It is hard to believe we are now two years into a pandemic that has certainly impacted all of our careers in one way or another, and a lot has certainly changed for both our industry as well as the Connecticut River Valley Chapter during that time. Many of us have made shifts in our careers to adapt to our new industry environment – changing jobs, expanding skillsets, moving to new companies, and some even switching industries. However while our industry may look a little different now, I am unbelievable proud of the members of our chapter for maintaining their spirit and continuing to persevere, and I personally am very optimistic for the next several months as we continue to plan new ways to meet.
In recent months as we have started to resume our in-person programs we have had the pleasure of seeing many new faces as well as reconnecting with many of our long-standing members; and to all of you we want to say, welcome back, thank you for coming, and we can’t wait to see you again!
Thank you again for continuing to believe in our industry, and joining us as we strive to come back stronger than ever. Bring on the networking, the educational programming, the meet-ups and the roundtable discussions, because we're back, and we'll see you soon!
Sincerely,
Stephanie Killian

Reintroducing the 2021- 2022 Board of Directors:

We are all excited to be here after the last 2 years of challenges, so please be sure to reach out, say hello, and let us know if you are interested in volunteering on one of the many committees!

In Case You Missed It:
|
|
The last 2 years have been tough on our industry, but we we're ecstatic that we've slowly been able to get back together over the past 6 months.
In July we joined together at Thomas Hooker Brewery, and in August we enjoyed a night out with the Hartford Yard Goats. We sipped wine during a meet-up at Brignole Vineyards in September, celebrated the season with a Fall Fest themed crafting night at Back East Brewing in October, and toasted to the holidays during a meet-up at Elicit Brewing at the end of the year. And through it all, we also took part in eye-opening conversations at our virtual education programs.
We have been working hard on the programs for the next few months and we can't wait to see you at our next event!

Coming Up Next for MPI CRV:
|
|
Join MPI CRV at Urban Lodge Brewing for our March education program, “The Changing Landscape of Risk Management”, followed by Q&A. Stay for a beverage or two, some snacks, and check out the raffle prizes!
Presentation Information:
Meetings and events of all kinds were turned upside down with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, drastically altering the landscape of risk management. Face-to-face meetings, once the mainstay of education, took a back seat to virtual and hybrid meetings generating additional risk management aspects in contracts, risk issues, platforms for virtual and hybrid meetings, intellectual property and data privacy, vendor contracts, and legislative impacts. Analyze next steps in adapting, renegotiating, and understanding new contracts and their risk management impacts, including adherence to up-to-date health and safety protocols.
Still not comfortable meeting in person?
The education portion of this event can also be attended virtually!
