Dear members of the Lived Experience Network, | Thank you for your warm reception of our inaugural edition of LEN Connect! We are excited to continue providing you with valuable resources, research opportunities, and updates on relevant events, workshops, and seminars. | To keep our content relevant and timely, we have introduced The Pulse. This is a shorter format of the LEN Connect to share opportunities & events that arise between our bi-monthly newsletters. | As mentioned in the LEN Connect and below the Equally Well Forum is on in Melbourne next week. If you are going, feel free to introduce yourself and connect with 2 of our Griffith Centre for Mental Health members; Prof Amanda Wheeler, an Equally Well Ambassador, and Dr Justin Chapman, a Lived Experience researcher. They are keen to get to know our LEN members. | Thank you for being an integral part of LEN. We look forward to receiving your contributions as the network continues to evolve. | Warm regards | Liz and Vicky |

Everyone has the right to SMILE | Researchers from Griffith University are currently undertaking research to help identify how oral health in those with severe mental illness is prioritised. So far we have gathered a broad spectrum of voices but we are missing the voices of young people. Thank you to all of you who have helped us already! | We would really like to interview 2 young people who have experience of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or major depression, aged 18-25 about their oral health. The interviews will take approximately 30-60 mins and each participant receives a $30 gift voucher. | If you would like to participate or know of anyone who fits this criteria please email caroline.robertson@griffith.edu.au. |
