Huntsville International Airport contains several rental car companies in the building such as: - Avis - Budget - Dollar/Thrifty - Enterprise - Hertz - National/Alamo Uber, Lyft and taxi cabs are available as well. Taxi cab service is available from Huntsville International Airport. Taxis can be found lined up outside the baggage claim area. The average fare from Huntsville International to the downtown area is $25 - $30. When you arrive at HSV, stop by our Visitor Center in the baggage claim area. You’ll find a friendly face to talk to about what’s going on in Madison County. We also have tons of brochures and flyers at the Visitor Center – which is just the information you need at the beginning of your visit.

Huntsville Around Town
Huntsville is a pretty compact city with light traffic and fairly easy to get anywhere around town in 15 minutes. When you discover all the attractions the Rocket City has to offer, you'll also want to know how to get around town using public transportation. The Orbit Public Transit System runs Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on nine routes, covering over 175 miles of Huntsville streets every hour.
