Highlights of Montreux
1. Chillon Castle
On a rocky island on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Chillon Castle is the most visited monument in Switzerland. Many artists and writers were inspired by this medieval fortress. Chillon is also a perfect place to organise banquets, dinners and themed evenings.
2. Chaplin's World
Chaplin's Word by Grévin is a museum entirely dedicated to the life and legendary work of Charlie Chaplin. This unique site, is housed in the Manoir de Ban, the famous residence where the artist lived the last 25 years of his life. Chaplin's World is also opening its new spaces for events.
3. Lavaux vineyards
Lavaux’s vineyards are a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. From the uncultivated hillside that it has been for millennia, man has fashioned a terraced vineyard that faces the lake and the Alps. The vineyard is now known for its excellent wines and breathtaking scenery, a perfect location for a tasting.
Located in the centre of Montreux and close to Lake Geneva, the 2m2c hosts concerts, exhibitions and conferences in fully adjustable and multifunctional rooms. Every year, it hosts prestigious events, be they professional, cultural or artistic. Among them is the Montreux Jazz Festival, which is held every year during the first two weeks of July. Accessible on foot from the train station and the main hotels in Montreux, the 2m2c benefits above all from its direct proximity to Lake Geneva and an unrivalled panorama from its glazed reception areas.
