Train Travel
As a major travel hub, Basel is home to three mainline train stations, which offer connections to Swiss cities and major European destinations, including direct transfer to Zurich Airport. The Swiss Railway station (SBB), the French Railway station (SNCF), and the Badischer Bahnhof, operated by German Railway (DB), are all located in the heart of Basel. Trains from France arrive at SNCF, while trains from Germany arrive at either SBB or the Badischer Bahnhof. Fares are determined by destination and route.
