Highlights of Exuma
1. The Tropic of Cancer Beach
The Tropic of Cancer Beach is an extremely beautiful beach and it is arguably one of the best beaches in all of the Exumas. It’s name is also derived from the Meridian line that defines the northern extent of the tropics and crosses right through it at 23 Degrees North and 75 Degrees West.
2. Thunder Ball Grotto, The Exumas
The high tide keeps the entrance of this secret underwater cave hidden. But dive the gin-clear depths, and you'll discover a world teeming with marine life. Reaching the inside is a challenge but the worthy sort for snorkelers and adventure-seekers on their way to Compass Cay.
3. Where The Pigs Swim
This is one experience you simply can’t miss while you’re here. Wondering how the pigs got to Pig Beach? We don't know for sure. Big Major Cay is uninhabited and the pigs are not native to the island. Some say they were left by a group of sailors, who planned to come back and cook them.
