Dear Colleagues,
The International Institute for Restorative Practices (the IIRP), in partnership with STARS Nashville, are proud to present Artful Integration: Exploring the Art and Science of Restorative Practices as the theme for this year’s conference.
The conference will be held October 19-22, 2025, at the Chattanooga Convention Center, in Chattanooga, TN, USA, and will attract attendees from urban, suburban, and rural communities in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and other parts of the world!
We would like to invite you to be part of our World Conference at the Chattanooga Convention Center by responding to the following call for proposals to present at a breakout session.
The 60-minute breakout sessions will aim to:
- showcase examples of practical applications of how restorative practices are being used in artistic, innovative, and expressive ways to build relationships and resolve conflict,
- energize current practitioners,
- explore ways to integrate restorative practices across disciplines,
- inspire attendees to consider different ways to apply restorative practices in their communities, and
- provide insights to those who are unfamiliar with restorative practices,
To be considered, proposals must be interactive skill-building workshops that coincide with one of the following tracks:
- Inner Landscapes: Reflecting Self, Well-being, and Relationships
- Communal Connections: Building and Restoring Community
- Systemic Shifts: Reimagining Institutions and Systems
As you craft your proposal, consider the following:
- Hands-on workshops provide attendees with actionable skills to bring creative and evidence-based approaches into their work as restorative practitioners.
- Storytelling and performances that immerse participants in the emotional and relational dimensions of community-building work.
- Opportunity for self-reflection and the impact on practice.
