Culturally Responsive Teaching: To support teachers and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students, CEE is particularly interested in sessions that incorporate Culturally Responsive Teaching practices into your economics and personal finance classroom. (Invitational priority: Under an invitational priority we are particularly interested in applications that meet the priority. However, we do not give an application that meets the priority a preference over other applications)

Conference Tracks

We are seeking proposals on innovative pedagogy in the following tracks for elementary, middle, and high school:

  • Economics: Do you have great activities and lessons to bring economics to life in your classroom? How are you using real-world events to explore how economics affects our everyday lives?
  • Personal Finance: Do you have great activities or lessons to help students engage in this topic and build their financial understanding? How are you integrating personal finance into other subjects such as career and technical education?
  • Social Studies: Do you have interesting strategies to bring economics or personal finance content into your social studies classroom?
  • EdTech: Do you utilize innovative educational technology solutions designed to enhance the learning experience for students and educators? If so, include a brief summary of the problem that the EdTech solution solves, including its features, benefits, and how it will enhance the learning experience. Lastly, explain why it is significant and how you can use it in the classroom to enhance economics and personal finance.

Our goal is to offer a balanced selection of workshops in these tracks with presentations by K-12 teachers, CEE affiliates, and others.
