Couchbase is looking for passionate database developers, architects, and thought leaders from both the community and our customers to share their knowledge and insight at Couchbase ConnectONLINE 2021. The event will take place on October 20-21, 2021 and will be broadcast worldwide. Participants will also have access to view the virtual conference material after the event.

The theme for this year's conference is “Modernize Now,” and we want to feature use cases, best practices, deployment strategies, and in-depth case studies for how Couchbase helps to transform the on-prem, cloud, and mobile applications that will define modern user experiences in the 21st century. We are looking to you, our talented community, to share your stories, tutorials, application designs, cross-cloud integrations, and demonstrations. Submit your presentation today!

Conference format

As online conferences have become the norm, we’ve taken notes on what makes for an engaging online experience and tailored ConnectONLINE to appeal to both the audience and our speakers. Your speaking session will be prerecorded in the weeks leading up to the event to allow you to interact with the audience during your session. Our delivery platform will also allow you to address your audience directly during your session.

Session length ranges from 25 minutes for a half session to 55 minutes for a full session. If you have more content to share, no problem, we can create a "Part II" or "Part III" for your extended content. We will attach your extended content, sessions, demos, code samples, interviews, etc., to your original anchor session so that attendees can enjoy your entire program. This design offers you a higher degree of freedom to express your ideas, and encourages Q&A interaction during your main session.

If your session is not chosen for a live presentation during ConnectONLINE, we still want the Couchbase community to know how others are using Couchbase. As such, your submission may be featured as on-demand content, considered for the Couchbase Community awards, or showcased at future events.

Developer experiences

Tell us how you are incorporating Couchbase into your development stack. We want to hear from Java, Scala, JavaScript, C#, .NET, Go, Ruby, and Python developers. We want to know your tips for using GraphQL, Node.js, Spring, ASP.NET, and other frameworks and tools.

All things cloud

DevOps and cloud architects are encouraged to share your tales of Kubernetes, cross-cloud deployments, or experience using Couchbase in the cloud. 

Database platform best practices

Deploying distributed database applications can be complex, so we want to hear your design tips for scaling database services, query language best practices, index optimization, building for high availability, or migrating and refactoring relational database-powered applications into Couchbase. 

Modern applications and use cases

Tell us about your database modernization journey, especially when delivering personalized experiences that transformed your business or organization.
