THOUGHTS ON PREPARING YOUR SUBMISSION
Spring CUE 2023 is dedicated to celebrating teachers who have given so much through what has been the most challenging time of our careers. To make the event accessible to educators as much as possible, the event will be in-person with a virtual component to accommodate those who cannot make the trip to Palm Springs.
As you develop your proposal for sharing at Spring CUE 2023, we ask that you consider how your session will support an equitable, student-centered learning environment that promotes expression and contribution from marginalized voices. And, we ask that you consider how you will support your fellow educators in a synchronous way, sharing your ideas both in-person and virtually. We will aim to record all sessions, so they can be viewed after the conference by all who register.
It is also a time to celebrate the tremendous work done by educators throughout California and to recognize their dedication and hard work.
CUE MENTORSHIP & PRESENTER SUPPORT PROGRAM
CUE has two programs to help members with submitting proposals to present at CUE and to improve presentation skills. If you've been interested in presenting for a CUE event, our Speaker Submission Workshop can provide you with insights and suggestions for making sure your proposal matches the evaluation rubric used by the selection committee, and offer suggestions for matching your idea with strands, themes, or topics that the conference committee is looking for. This workshop will run periodically throughout the year, primarily coinciding with the call for presenters for the Fall and Spring conferences. If you are new to presenting, or if you want to improve your presentation skills, a series of workshops and mentorships will be available to help you. When you attend the presentation workshop, you will be paired with an experienced presenter as a mentor who will be available to help you hone your skills and prepare for that next session, whether it be a CUE conference or an Affiliate event.

ABOUT CUE
CUE’s mission is to transform teaching by connecting educators with ideas, resources, and each other to use technology to prepare all students to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
CUE envisions a future in which all students have access to technology-empowered learning that prepares them to solve real-world problems, seize opportunities, and improve their communities. Spring CUE is a time for us to share ideas and visions about how we can move forward with our teaching strategies and practices. Rather than reverting to pre-COVID classrooms, this is our opportunity to iterate, to make things better for our students than they were, to be more inclusive, more student-centered, and more innovative than ever before.
