Research sessions will feature presentations and technical discussion of innovative research papers on land-related policies and land governance on the annual theme and aim to strengthen the evidence base for policymaking. They will be devoted to presenting rigorous research methods in a seminar-type setting to allow academic debate. Full research papers between 6,000 and 10,000 words, or on an exceptional basis, abstracts of at least 1,000 words for analysis in progress with a clear description of hypotheses tested, data used, and expected results, are invited for submission.

Paper proposals must be submitted via this form and be received no later than Friday, November 22, 2024 (extended deadline) to be considered for selection. The Land Conference Team will communicate decisions on all session types by late December 2024.

Registration: EOIs from members of accepted resesarch papers will be automatically accepted for in-person registration, so it is important that all research paper candidates also complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) to Attend.
