Making a Difference Globally

Through Quality Public Service Education

Public service professionals are critical to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and communities. They design solutions to public programs and design services to implement these solutions. Governmental and non-governmental public services have always provided solutions in areas of healthcare, education, economic development, transportation, and planning among other areas. Public service has been a vehicle for delivering opportunities for growth and well-being and for prosperity in many areas. Public service initiatives have helped alleviate poverty, improve access to resources, bring innovation to medicine and science, and create an environment where communities and individuals can thrive.

As “the Global Standard in Public Affairs Education,” NASPAA, for its entire 55-year history, has been guided by this public service calling. Our global network is dedicated to quality public service education and to prepare exceptional public and nonprofit professionals who will in turn add public value to communities around the world. This is a mission that unites us globally, across all countries and across all states and provinces within these countries regardless of political system, ideology, or rhetoric. The public service profession is as old as civilization and will be here for as long as we live in civilized societies.

NASPAA’s mission is to “promote excellence in education and training for public service and to promote the ideal of public service.” This conference should be a reaffirmation of our core mission as a Network and as members of this network.

Panels consist of a convener, 3-4 confirmed speakers, and a well-developed topic related to the conference tracks. Proposals should align with the conference theme, demonstrate originality, and include diverse perspectives. Sessions will last one hour, with up to 45 minutes for presentations and 15 minutes for audience engagement. Formats may include conventional presentations, roundtables, or moderated discussions. While you may submit an unlimited amount of proposals, to maximize participation, presenters are limited to speak at one session.
