As part of activities promoting World Hearing Day, the World Hearing Forum (WHF), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Coalition for Global Hearing Health (CGHH) invite proposals for WHF-CGHH Small Grants for World Hearing Day 2025.

World Hearing Day 2025 will be observed on March 3, 2025 with the theme “Changing Mindsets: Empower yourself to make Ear and Hearing Care a reality for all".    World Hearing Day 2025 will highlight the importance of changing mindsets about deafness and hearing loss within civil society and healthcare professionals. To promote and support the celebration of World Hearing Day, the World Hearing Forum, WHO, and CGHH have launched the WHD Small Grants Program. As part of this program, organizations can apply for a grant of up to $800 USD to cover expenses related to World Hearing Day activities. A maximum of 50 grants will be provided based on recommendations made by a selection panel.

  • Take place on or close to the World Hearing Day (3 March 2025)
  • Focus on the theme: “Changing Mindsets: Empower yourself to make Ear and Hearing Care a reality for all"
  • Target the general population and/or policymakers to raise awareness about hearing loss
  • Use WHO awareness materials for the day (translations will be available at www.worldhearingday.org).
  • Have measurable outcome(s)
  • Registered your event at www.worldhearingday.org.
  • Make an application by 3 February, 2025
  • Provide details of the host organization/institution or the organizer
  • Notification of selected grantees will be made by 17 February, 2025.
  • Following the event, a brief report with photos must be submitted to WHO by March 15, 2025. Photos must include a signed declaration of consent from recognizable persons in the photographs
  • If reports are submitted by March 15, grantees will receive up to $800 USD by 31 March 2025. Grant payments will be delayed for those that submit reports late.
