Workshop submissions for the 2023 International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum (IPF) are now being accepted through November 7, 2022. Hosted by the Business Network for Offshore Wind, IPF is the premier offshore wind conference in North America. Featuring 3,000+ attendees and 250+ speakers, industry experts from around the world converge to share best business practices, the most advanced technical and scientific findings, and policy updates impacting offshore wind. 2023 IPF takes place March 28-30 in Baltimore, Maryland. Review Criteria
The 2023 IPF Program Committee uses the following criteria in reviewing submissions.
The purpose of IPF is to disseminate accurate, cutting-edge, and innovative information regarding the offshore wind industry and related technologies. This purpose is best served by including workshops that are varied in terms of topics and presenters.
1. Company/Individual experience and expertise:
Are the proposed speakers seen as experts/leaders in the field? (Maximum 10 points)
2. Move the industry forward:
Does the topic contribute to the advancement of the offshore wind industry? (Maximum 10 points)
3. Broad appeal across the offshore wind supply chain:
Does the topic have mass appeal and interest for various sectors of the offshore wind supply chain? (Maximum 10 points)
4. Challenge the Status Quo:
Does the technology/process discussed in the workshop challenge legacy processes/technologies and contribute to the betterment of the offshore wind industry? (Maximum 5 points)
5. Novel and Unique:
Is the workshop topic new and innovative? Has it been presented at other conferences? (Maximum 15 points)
6. Educational and informative:
Is the submission educational and/or informative in its intent and not a corporate sales pitch? (Maximum 20 points)
7. Structure and Flow:
Does the submission present a well-suited format for the topic and panelists/presenters and create a clear picture of how the workshop will flow? (Maximum 5 points)
8. Engagement:
Does the workshop offer opportunities for audience interaction? (Maximum 10 points)
9. Ready to go:
Is the workshop submission complete (all speakers and presentation topics identified, description, and title)? (Maximum 15 points)
Selection Process
Proposals are reviewed and scored by an independent advisory committee composed of industry, government, and academic professionals. Proposals with the highest scores are selected. When scores for proposals are equal, priority will be given to Network members and speakers who have not presented at previous IPF conferences. The Network encourages you to reach out to potential speakers to confirm their support and engagement in the process.
All speakers receive a discount on 2023 IPF registration. The member speaker rate is $1,095 and the non-member speaker rate is $1,295. Travel and hotel accommodation are not included.
