Conference Overview

The 2025 Ignite program will look beyond processes and controls and explore how emerging audit leaders play an essential role within the organization. The content will cover strategies for professional development, coaching on communicating with leaders, and innovative approaches to auditing and risk management from the lens of a senior level leader.

Submission Process

Please fill in all the required information otherwise your submission will not be reviewed. All completed submissions should be submitted to The IIA’s 2025 IGNITE Program Committee by 28 March 2025 via this online portal. Submissions submitted via email will not be accepted. You will receive an automatic confirmation that your submission was received. Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• A proven track record as a speaker. Upload a video clip or provide a link of you speaking for a live event.
• Include up-to-date data, case studies, and resources.
• Refrain from sales or self-promotions of products and services.
• Presentations that can address a global audience are given priority.
• Presentations must be appropriate for both an in-person and virtual audience.

Speaking at the IGNITE Emerging Leaders Conference is a volunteer opportunity. Compensation for speaking fees and travel is not provided unless otherwise indicated. The primary speaker will receive a complimentary, non-transferable, full registration for the 2025 IGNITE Emerging Leaders. All speakers must be able to travel to Las Vegas, NV to present their session.

Important timeline events include:

• 28 March 2025 - Deadline for submission of proposals
• 28 October 2024 to 30 April 2025 - Proposals reviewed by The IIA and the Conference Program Committee
• Before 30 April 2025 - Invitation issued to selected speakers
• Week of 30 May 2025 - Email notification to speakers who were not selected

Incomplete submissions or submissions received after 11:59 p.m. ET on 28 March 2025 will not be considered for the 2025 IGNITE Emerging Leaders program.

Speaker Policy

All selected speakers are expected to adhere to the following policy:

• Submissions must be completed in the manner in which the presentation is designed. A submission with a sole presenter may not change to include a co-presenter during or after the submission process.
• For each session, the primary speaker will receive a full complimentary registration to the conference. Secondary speaker will receive 40% off either member or non-member registration price depending on their membership status at the conference. Additional speakers will not receive complimentary registration. Maximum of 3 speakers total will be allowed per session. Sessions submitted with 3 or more speakers may be deprioritized for review.  
• Speakers will be asked to attend a mandatory Speaker Orientation call. 
• Speakers will be required to provide requested materials within a defined timeline to ensure adequate promotion and quality review. Missing deliverable due dates (such as presentation submission deadlines) could result in a disqualification from future IIA speaking opportunities.
• Presentation PowerPoint decks are due 10 weeks prior to the conference and must be provided on the IIA branded PowerPoint template.
