DBIA-WPR Annual Regional Conference & Awards Program

The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) – Western Pacific Region (WPR) will be hosting its 8th annual conference on Tuesday, May 21st through Friday, May 24th, 2024, in Sacramento, California and you are invited to present! Presentation sessions will occur on Wednesday, May 22nd and Thursday, May 23rd. (Please ensure your full panel is available on both dates before submitting. Presentation time slot could be on either Wednesday or Thursday.)
This year’s conference theme is Purposeful Leadership. Primary areas of interest for presentations this year, based on our membership feedback, are Leadership and Progressive Design-Build. Team presentations including project sponsors/owners are highly encouraged.
The conference provides a platform for experienced, knowledgeable, and well-spoken industry experts to highlight key aspects of Design-Build project delivery. Be an integral part of the DBIA-WPR, as we educate stakeholders, and promote the value of Design-Build project delivery and the effective integration of design and construction services to enhance the value proposition for owners, practitioners, and everyone in our community.
SUBMITTALS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16th, 2024 at 5:00 PM PST.
Although there is no restriction on topics, the three primary tracks this year will be Leadership, Progressive Design-Build and Design-Build Water/Wastewater Projects. Suggested potential topics of interest are listed below for the Leadership and Progressive Design-Build tracks.
ONLINE PRESENTER & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All submissions must include:
• All submitted papers must follow the same format as requested during the online submission
• All submitted files must be labeled with the primary presenter firm/organization name
• Primary Presenter and Co-presenter(s) Name, Title, and Full Contact Information
• Headshots as a jpeg for all presenters
• Bio’s (one page or less – preferably 500 words or less) for all presenters
Submittals will not be accepted unless all items in the above guidelines are included.
PRESENTER AGREEMENTS
All presenters must be in agreement with the following, prior to submitting:
• The Primary Presenter to be prepared and agree to serve as the main point of contact, including coordination with co-presenters, and ensuring that each presenter registers online for the full conference within 2 weeks of selection notification.
• Presenters will be financially responsible for full conference registration and hotel fees.
• Conference registration for all presenters to be completed within 2 weeks of speaker selection notification.
Presenters name, title and credentials will be listed as submitted. Please confirm information with fellow panelists.
