Wanna race? The Meeting and Hospitality Industry (and life in general) seems to be moving at 200+ miles per hour! In order to keep current and prevent drag (the resistance a car experiences when passing through air at high speeds), MPMPI has created a TED style event with three short form conference style presentations.

As we approach the apex (the area of a turn near its center) of the MPMPI meeting season, join us as we experience the Meetings Industry in high gear! Learn strategies to put us in the driver’s seat to our future with topics including: “Pitt Strategies for Effective Selling”, “Don’t Fall Asleep at the Wheel…Engage Your Attendees!”, and “Racing Fuel for the Brain and Palate".

MPMPI searches for Chapter Administrator!

The Middle PA Chapter of MPI is searching for a person or organization to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of Chapter Administrator. Under the contract, the Chapter Administrator would be acting as an independent contractor and assume responsibility for taxes associated with payment under this agreement and a 1099 will be issued annually. The Board of Directors of MPMPI requires a commitment averaging 20-25 hours per week. The person or agency would be expected to do the following:

Operates in accordance with the Chapter Bylaws, Policies, and Procedures, as well as MPI’s Principles of Professionalism.

Liaises with Board Members, Chapter Committees and Chapter Members, as required.
Performs accurate bookkeeping services for MPMPI in accordance with recognized accounting principles.
Summary of responsibilities:

Event Preparation, Execution and Clean-Up
Pick-Up and Manage Mail
Track Sponsorship Deliverables
New Member Letters
Invoicing
E-Mails
Track In-Kind Donations
Dashboard Reporting
Special Events
Financial Bookkeeping
Attend Board Meetings and Retreats
