This is an academic and clinical symposium for researchers and clinicians working in the field of cognitive-communication disorders incorporating all rehabilitation disciplines including Speech and Language Therapy, Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. The primary focus of the symposium is on the assessment and management of cognitive-communication disorders for people with brain injury.
Abstracts are sought from established academics, new researchers and practising clinicians. We strongly encourage therapists to consider submission of assessments, therapy ideas and quality improvement projects completed as part of their clinical service. These may include evaluations of groups, single-case designs, case descriptions, or evidence of good practice.
Submissions in a wide range of topics are sought, including:
Abstracts must be in English, limited to a maximum of 2,500 characters (including spaces), for research studies use the following headings in sentence case and bold: Background and aims, Method, Results, and Conclusions. Note that there will be three presentation formats at the conference (i) oral presentation, (ii) poster plus 5 minute oral presentation ('lightning talk') and (iii) poster only. If you are unable to present live, you may submit a recorded presentation, however, we will not be able to have livestreamed presentations.
We are using CVENT for the abstract submission process. This is a four-step process:
First: you will need to create an account, which is simply your email address and a password (if do you not already have a CVENT account)
Second: complete a word document of the abstract which includes all the below information in the Abstract Template including the corresponding author’s name and email address. This repeats the second step.
Third: type the information relating to the abstract in each box
Fourth: upload the completed abstract
